Abbot Band with Texas Tech fraternity brother Austin Davis. Abbott s love for Texas has
permeated every aspect of his songwriting, weaving authentic character-driven tales
while exploring the real-life issues that shaped his life in the Lone Star State.
Their second album, She s Like Texas, entered the Top Country Albums charts with their
hit single Oh, Tonight , a duet with Nashville music sensation Kasey Musgraves. The
song climbed to No. 44 on Billboard s Top 100 Country chart. The band s third album,
Small Town Family Dream, was released on April 24, 2012 and the single, Touch , went
on to become one of the most talked-about songs in Texas music of 2012.
In 2014, they released the Tuesday Night EP, which followed the band s independent
success and earned sales of more than 175,000 albums. The leading single from Tuesday
Night EP was the hit song Hangin Around.
