AHA fruit acid is a concentrated blend of five botanical extracts: bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange, and lemon.
These extracts contain several naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids. The material contains the following concentrations of alpha hydroxy acids:
Lactic Acid 13%
Glycolic Acid 10%
Citric Acid 13%
Malic Acid 4% max
Tartaric Acid 4% max
Alpha hydroxy acids have been shown to promote smoother, younger looking skin by increasing the rate of cell renewal.
Properties: Sheds off the outermost layer of skin cells (corneocytes), induces renewal of a skin cell layer, increases the moisturizing level of the skin which improves the flexibility of the upper skin layer.
Applications: Moisturizing creams, lotions, cream- gels, peeling gels.
