This Impact beauty dish sets up in seconds while shooters with traditional reflectors are still pulling their dish units out of cumbersome cases.
Made for strobes, monolights and monolight-shaped LEDs, the beauty dish features a white interior for a soft quality of light with neutral color rendition. An integrated fiberglass frame and a metal inner deflector bounces the direct light output backwards and distributes it across the broad flat arc of the dish. If you want to soften the punchy look of the beauty dish further, you can simply slip on the included cap-style front diffuser.
A favorite of portrait and fashion shooters, beauty dishes are usually used quite close up, where the flattened light wraps around the subject while bringing out details in makeup and clothing. The octagonal shape renders natural looking catchlights in the eyes of the model that are not possible with rectangular softboxes. Used up close, this large size covers full length single or small group shots routinely seen in catalogs.
The Folding Beauty Dish comes with an Impact/Bowens S-Type adapter for the many brands that use this mount. It can be easily swapped out with adapters available for most major brands. A soft case is included.
