Q: Can this work on its own?
A: No. This is just an adapter to connect a M.2 socket type wireless card to a PCIe slot on a PC motherboard. It needs a M.2 (NGFF) wireless card to go along with it.
M.2 (NGFF) wireless card,pci card and others are NOT included.
