Fotodiox presents the newest idea in LED lighting; the FlapJack LED Edgelight. The challenge was to create something different; an LED light that is more portable than ever, faster and easier to set up, and offers a complete lighting solution right out of the box. The FlapJack LED Edgelights deliver on all this and more. Instead of forward-facing LEDs like in a conventional panel, the FlapJack's LEDs are mounted around the outer edge, aimed inward at layers of diffusion material which produces a soft, even glow with no hotspots. Each FlapJack is made of durable lightweight metal, less than 1/2" at its thinnest point, and can mount practically anywhere. Finally, you can get more creative with light placement than ever before!
FlapJack lights offer beautiful soft lighting requiring just minimal setup right out of the case. An entire light kit can fit easily in a messenger bag or camera bag. Great for fasts setups, as for interview situations. The internally bounced light is easier on the eyes - your subject can look directly toward the light with no discomfort making it ideal for portrait photography. The Flapjack is also perfect for tabletop food or product photography. Enjoy the look of a big soft light without melting your subject.
Every Flapjack Edgelight Kit light runs on either AC power or a NP-F style rechargeable battery and feature a back-lit LCD indicator for both light level and battery life status. A V-Mount battery pack can also be used to extend battery life (not included). The light is fully dimmable, with no change in color temperature, from 10-100%. The light is also dual colored allowing you to adjust the color temperature from an amber tungsten 3200k to white daylight 5600k. Use the attached mounting yoke to attach the light to any 5/8" light stud which is also removeable, revealing two built-in 1/4-20" mounting points. The built in 1/4-20" mounting points let you attach the FlapJack directly to a tabletop tripod, or lighting clamp. All FlapJacks are backed Fotodiox's standard 2-year warranty.
