The story of Pop'd Kerns began when a rural Minnesota farmer accidentally exploded corn kernels while testing a new idea. The unusual combination of taste and crunch surprised the farmer and his friends, so he and his wife perfected the accidental process and tried many flavor variations, then launched a brand called Glad Corn. Each product offers much more crunch than popcorn, but not a hard crunch like corn nuts, as well as all-natural ingredients that are non-GMO and gluten-free. A few years later, Krienke Foods International acquired the brand and changed the name to Pop'd Kern.
