Gymnastics leotards run quite smaller than regular "street" clothing. The sizes are based on the average petite gymnast. It is always best to get the child's girth measurement. To take the child's girth measurement, start at the top of the shoulder where the strap would lay, go down the front, through the legs, up the back to that same shoulder. So, it is a complete measurement of the torso. Children who are tall or have longer torsos may be the next size up. Please see our size chart to determine the correct size.
