The copy mill has a plastic inner tube that holds the contents of the mill, it is not as sturdy as the solid stainless steel Original Pump & Grind Mills. Please note ALL sellers offering this same mill on Amazon have the same plastic inner core, the only Grind Gourmet offers the Original Pump & Grind Mills. The Originals have a solid stainless steel body with a less than 1/2" food-grade acrylic viewing window. Both the copy mill and the Original mills work the same way, you push down on the top button to move the stainless grinding rod down through the contents of the mill to produce fresh ground salt or pepper. The Originals have stood the test of time, the copies offer a lower price point, due to the material difference of the mill. We offer both mills on Amazon (Originals have their own listings) so consumers can decide what to invest in. We are pleased to answer any questions you may have!
