In the late 1880’s Jenny Elliott fled Chicago as a mail-order-bride after retaliating against Henrik Gaska, the brutal boss of the shirt factory where she worked. Henrik used his tremendous muscles and a rattan cane as tools of intimidation. Jenny's impulsive action against him kept her in hiding till the day she left the city for Firefly, Idaho Territory. Upon arrival she met her intended, Ezra Dawson. He was a muscular giant of a man and shared the same dark features of Henrik. Her nightmare that Henrik had found her caused Jenny to faint in his arms. Believing God had led her to this man, Jenny married him within hours of her arrival. She soon learned Ezra was feared by almost everyone in town including the sheriff who was intent on getting her safely away from her husband.
