Heavy Love is a classic duet recording by tenor man Al Cohn and pianist Jimmy Rowles. Thank goodness Xanadu owner Don Schlitten had the foresight to capture such a splendid and satisfying duo, which
no commercial label would have conceived of at the time. It was a one-off for posterity. And thus we can still relish its numerous felicities and subtleties.
