The strong permanent magnet will prevent the LOKmate from dropping out due to door kicking or banging. This lock will work on most conventional deadbolts with multiple locking positions, and is a perfect security protection for homes and apartments.The slim & light design can be easily fit inside your pocket (4.25" x 3" x .5"). The innovative slim 1/16" metal hook-plate design will hook onto the deadbolt without having to open the door for installation (Important note: Gap between door and door frame will need at least 1/16" opening). Q & A: How do I know if this will work on my deadbolt? - Please make sure the gap between the door frame and the door to be at least 1/16" open for the hook to slide in. Other than that, the LOKmate will fit on most conventional deadbolts with inward opening doors. Will the magnetic attach to my deadbolt? - Majority of the deadbolts on the market is manufactured with metal alloy or with steel additives, so the LOKmate will works fine. We have included a 3/4" round metal disc with 3M backing tape in case your LOKmate is not able to attach to the deadbolt.
