MDSOX is a physician-designed graduated compression sock that helps prevent DVT, promotes post-exercise recovery, and relieves symptoms of venous insufficiency. MDSOX are surprisingly easy to apply and great to wear all day long, aiding in better blood and lymphatic circulation. Natural cotton fibers make them enjoyable to wear. Technologically advanced silver-infused cotton thread (X-Static) in the toe and heel impart antimicrobial properties. MDSOX were designed to mimic as closely as possible the perfect compression gradient benefit found in water aerobics; the deepest depth of the pool imparts the greatest pressure and each millimeter higher has less and less pressure. This pressure gradient helps to return the venous blood back to the heart. MDSOX shouldn't be confused for those cheap poorly-made compression socks that have an improper balance of compression that make your legs ache. Compression hosiery that have negative compression act more as a tourniquet, obstructing the return of blood back to the heart and worsening symptoms of venous insufficiency and lymphedema. Compression hosiery should be comfortable and if they are not, they may not be properly constructed. MDSOX have no logos or designs woven within the fabric of the sock where compression is greatest, between the ankle and upper calf, in order to prevent degradation of proper compression. MDSOX undergo rigorous testing for proper compression, both at the factory and at Dr Furlong's on-site laboratory prior to shipment.
