The cleaning of the eggs depends on your instructions: 1) White Acid: This is the most common method. After blowing, the eggs are washed with a mild muriatic acid solution to remove stains, rinsed with fresh water and allowed to drip dry. 2) White Soap: The procedure is the same except a mild soap is used instead of the muriatic acid. This is the recommend procedure if you will be dying the eggs, such as Pysanky, as acid prevents the dyes from adhering well to the shell.
