The padded portion of this case is 48" long, and the total length counting the non-padded flap portion is 54". If your gun is 47" or less, it would fit fully encased in padding, while guns greater than 47" long would have some portion of the buttstock extending beyond the padding as flap length is sacrificed to case the gun.
