During her inaugural trip to France in 2012, the American author experiences her first case of "love at first sight," but it's not a man that turns her head--it's a country. She falls in love with the villages, the décor, food, wine and the lifestyle. Once back at home she becomes obsessed with the idea of owning her own place in France and begins her own vigilant search for a dream cottage.
