Ylang Ylang Extra is the Essential Oil that is gathered from the first layer of the flowers' lengthy distillation process. The ethereal chemical components contained in the Extra variety are in higher concentration than Ylang Ylang oils extracted for longer periods of time. This grade of Ylang Ylang essential oil is the most floral and sweet variety and is generally considered the best quality for aromatherapy, when the aim of the aromatherapist is to use the lighter components of Ylang Ylang for a particular effect. It's considered good for perfumery strictly as a top note because most of the ethereal components are more volatile and dissipate faster than Ylang Ylang from any of the other distillations. Due to the ethereal properties that are only present in the shorter distillation process, this variety is great to use for listening to guidance from the etheric realms.
