This will guarantee that there is no damage from excessive voltage input to your light kits. 48v carts with 8v batteries must use a voltage reducer. 36v and 48v carts with 6v and 12v batteries can be wired in such a way they produce 12v. to the light kits but we do not suggest this. If wired wrong it will cause damage to your light kit that we can not warranty.
