We developed the Super Blue Lens because a standard welding lens does nothing to block the flare from heating the work. When you are welding, there are three kinds of wave energies that you must protect against, UltraViolet, InfraRed, and the Visible. UV and IR are invisible and very harmful to the eye. The visible is very bright, and if it catches you, it can be painful! A standard dark welding filter cuts back on this bright light, they also block the dangerous invisible energies that can harm you. The problem is the yellow orange flare, which makes it hard to see your work. The Super Blue blocks this flare. What works even better is our new Super Magenta Drop-In. This acrylic lens gives even better flare reducing properties than the Super Blue, and also enhances the color and visual clarity of the work. This is also a drop-in lens and needs to be used along with your standard welding shade. The advanced material used to make this lens erases the yellow and orange colors of the spectrum, and enhances the other colors so the resulting view is outstanding. When you are being paid to make a perfect weld, perfect vision is indispensable. The Super Magenta lens gives you that perfect vision. Reactions from our testers were off the charts! Every single one raved about the clarity, color separation and excellent view while using this lens. We call this the Super Magenta lens, and it is to be used ONLY in addition to your standard Welding Shade. The filter lens will add about 1/2 of a shade so just use your normal lens for the work. DO NOT USE IT AS A STAND ALONE LENS !!! PERMENANT EYE DAMAGE CAN AND MOST LIKELY WILL OCCUR IF USED ALONE !!! Simply drop in the lens behind your standard shade and cover lens. Protect it from spatter as it is polycarbonate and will pit if spatter hits it. With proper care the lens should give you years of trouble free service. To clean, rinse with water before drying off with a clean, soft cloth or new paper towel.
