Our highly abrasion resistant FMS Spectra Line is a dynamic line that is ideal for a number of applications; available in 1.8mm and 2.2 mm. Originally designed for fishermen and as a spear gun line, it is spun onto 200 Ft / 60 M and 100 Ft / 30 M spools. It has a Spectra Core with a nylon, polyester and polypropylene cover to give a tensile strength of 350 lbs for the 1.8mm and 400 lbs / 181 kg for the 2.2mm. The Spectra Line has a wide variety of applications and is commonly used among professional rescuers, fire brigades, mountaineers and the U.S. Military. For those who enjoy the outdoors and require a top quality rope this line is perfect for sailing, kiting, fishing, SCUBA diving and parachuting. It is also commonly found in model rocketry, fire poi and as a survival cord.
When used for spearfishing the high performance Spectra Line offers a solution that is very strong, yet not rigid or hard or prone to various entanglements. The multiple, high-visibility, vibrant colors offered are great for spotting your line while also attracting fish. This super strong line is ideal for adding line to your speargun reel, making wishbones or "Power Band" slings for spear guns, or other camping, hiking and backpacking applications. The low specific gravity allows it to float and makes it ideal for other lightweight applications.
