This display matting fits a 22x28 inch frame with an opening size for a 18x24 inch photo/print/image (actual opening size is 17.5x23.5 inches). The reason for the smaller "actual" opening size is to create a .25 inch overlap on all sides so that the matting sufficiently covers and correctly adheres to the photo or print for proper display. The custom opening is bevel-cut to showcase the core of the mat while the outside edges of the mat are straight-cut. All mats are manufactured in the U.S.A. and cut and shipped from our facility in Ithaca, Michigan.
