Note: it is imperative that the system have battery DISCONNECTED and the system fully discharged PRIOR TO installation, as damage to both the drive and logic board may be caused by static power. This cable CAN be used on the 2011 version, but the ribbon will NOT align properly. It is recommended to get the correct ribbon for your system - review the part# on the ribbon prior to purchase.
