Petit Elfe Ferme L'Oeil;

This new disc features two Florent Schmitt world premieres. Intro¯t, Recit et Conge, for cello and orchestra, uses a large, luxuriant orchestra. The sound universe of this demanding score is particularly appealing. Schmitt turns H.C. Andersen's Le Petit Elfe Ferme-l'OEil - which he'd previously treated in a work for piano four hands - into a large ballet, making the colors of the orchestra blossom and explode. Guided by the baton of Jacques Mercier is the Orchestre National de Lorraine.
