There are very few cars as iconic as the '57 Chevy. It was the last year of the famous "Tri-Five" Chevy cars. In 1955 Chevy offered its now famous "small-block" V-8 engine for the first time. It represented a major step forward in performance. This increased performance was demonstrated on and off the race track. Even the convertibles won all 3 of stock car racing's driver championships for the new convertible class.
