From his start, playing the Honky-Tonks in and around San Antonio, Texas, Moe Bandy was to become one of the most popular and exciting Country singers of the 1970s and 1980s. Along with Gary Stewart, Moe Bandy is one of the great exponents of drinking and cheating songs. It's a Cheating Situation released in 1979 produced two hit singles; 'Barstool Mountain' reached #9 and the title track, which won Song of the Year in 1979 at the Academy of Country Music Awards, reached #2. The album, although only reaching #19, remained on the charts for 22 weeks. She's Not Really Cheatin' (She's Just Gettin' Even) released in 1982, stayed on the album charts for 23 weeks peaking at #19. The title track reached #4 on the Singles chart and 'Only If There Is Another You' peaked at #12.
