The Marcels original line-up of two white and three black members made them one of the first multi-racial vocal groups. Includes one of Doo-Wops instantly recognisable, landmark records, their goofy irreverent arrangement of Rogers & Hart's "Blue Moon" which caused maximum controversy upon its release in February 1961. The hits continue with revivals of "Summertime", "Heartaches" and "My Melancholy Baby", also featured is their first LP, which funnily enough was titles after their multi-million selling hit single "Blue Moon" plus further collectors rarities. Much of this material is nowadays unavailable elsewhere on CD.
