Morels are a delicacy with many uses; fried, stuffed and baked, added to sauces, sauted, stir fried and many other uses. The dried morel reconstitutes very well, coming back to it's original form very well. It takes 7 pounds of fresh morels to make 1 pound of dried. These morels are wild harvested, using no pesticides or chemicals of any type. They are organic, just not certified. These morels are from this years crop To Reconstitute: Soak in a 2 cups of warm water or liquid per ounce of dried morels for 20 minutes. If there is not enough liquid, continue to add a small amount at a time. Do NOT add too much liquid, or the morels will lose their flavor into the liquid. When they are fully reconstituted, strain through a coffee filter or paper towel and retain the liquid for your recipe or future use. Rinse quickly to remove any debris and pat dry and use. Store dried mushrooms in a food saver bag or freezer bag and store in the freezer. Make sure to cook to 165 degrees and do not consume alcohol with morel. It can cause flu like symptoms if you do, or if you do not cook them to 165 degrees.
