This switch replaces the end-cap switch on the Vizeri VZ230 or VZ460 compact tactical flashlight. One application could be used to remotely activate the flashlight if you have the VZ230/VZ460 mounted to a gun.
Pressing the momentary buttons on the remote switch turns the light on temporarily. Letting the momentary buttons go turns it off. Subsequent presses of the button scrolls the light through its five modes: High-Medium-Low-Strobe-SOS.
The VZ230/VZ460's memory feature will remember the light's last mode as long as the light is on for at least 5 seconds, and off for at least 5 seconds. There is also a On/Off switch for continuous operation.
