This the fourth and latest in Ian Saddler's series of By The Bayou compilations featuring rare and unreleased material from Louisiana recording studios. It maintains the high quality of the other three CDs. After Boppin' and Rhythm 'n' Bluesin' we now go strictly Bluesin' with some of the artists that made their names on labels including Excello and Goldband. Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester, Lightnin' Slim, Silas Hogan and Clifton Chenier are joined by lesser-known but equally talented artists. All tracks were recorded by J.D. Miller or Eddie Shuler and most are previously unreleased.
