Animal Crossing: New Leaf (とびだせ どうぶつãæ£ Tobidase Dōbutsu no Mori?, "Animal Forest: Jump Out")[6] is a video game for the Nintendo 3DS console that was released on November 8, 2012 in Japan and will be released internationally in June 2013. It is the latest game in the Animal Crossing series, where the player character lives in a rural village populated with anthropomorphic animals. First announced at E3 2010,[7], it had been confirmed that the player will be the mayor of the animal village.[7]
