This item is a part of the Eisco Labs Density Investigation series. The Eisco Lab Density Investigation series is designed to help students identify and figure out mass, understand the relationship between mass/volume/density, understand specific heat and specific gravity, and other introductory physics and chemistry concepts. While not all activities have instructions available, most are able to used with most standard density and specific gravity experiments. - 6 piece equal mass metal cylinder set. Set includes copper, lead, brass, zinc, iron and aluminum. Each of the six metals in this set vary in length from 2" to 7.5", but have the same 100g mass, and 0.6" (16mm) diameter. Each cylinder features a drilled hole at one end for suspension
- Excellent for physics classrooms. This set allows learners to explore specific gravity & specific heat, and study density & mass
- Set includes a complete instruction manual that gives a background on density, mass, specific gravity & specific heat and includes inquiry based student activities with capture sheets
- Due to the nature of raw metals, some oxidation or corrosion due to humidity and storage may occur. Simply scuff any oxidation off to make the item look brand new again
- Designed to be used in an educational setting and are not fabricated using ultra high precision machining. Expect tolerances in the +/- 5% range of any stated dimensions (although they are generally much tighter).
