5 Mil Kapton Tapes are made from Kapton HN film with silicone adhesive. They have been used in applications at temperatures as low as -452 degrees F and as high as 500 degrees F. Applicable for wave soldering during circuit board assembly, insulating circuit boards, high temperature powder coating, fiber optics cable, automotive sensor and manifolds, semiconductor manufacturing and etching, protection of circuit board gold finger contacts during wave solder, insulation on transformers, motors and coils, and solar panels.
