Mystical and enchanting, the serene tones of Jason Chamakese's Native American Flute give voice to an ancient and storied culture. Jason Chamakese is a fluent Plains Cree speaker who comes from the Pelican Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan, Canada. Devoted to retaining and maintaining his traditional language and culture, he was drawn to the sound of the traditional flute 13 years ago. Drawing on his experiences growing up on the Rez and from stories and songs of the Plains Cree, he has become a well-known and sought after performer.
