The ceiling plate for this mount swivels a full 90°. This allows you to place the plate IN your ceiling and mount it to the side of a ceiling beam. The pole then drops from the plate and passes through a 2.5" hole that is cut in the drywall of the ceiling. When you look at the ceiling you will see no more than the ceiling mount pole extended down. With cable management ability, the poles conceal all wires and cables inside. This mount also accommodates vaulted and angled ceilings.
