The model consists of the humerus upper half, clavicle, and scapula, and dissembles into five parts for effective demonstration. The modelâ‚¬s m. subscapularis, m. supraspinatus, m. infraspinatus, and m. teres minor muscles are removable to allow simulation of the following motions: abduction, adduction, inner and outer rotation, raising the arms to the front and back, raising the arms above the horizontal plane, and making circular motions. The A880 has red muscle origins and blue insertions for accurate identification. The model is mounted on a stand for display. Anatomical models are typically used as educational aids in medical and scientific classrooms and office settings.

The A880 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. It resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons.
