The 3B Scientific A880 life-size human shoulder joint model is used for anatomical study of rotator cuff musculature and joint movement. The model consists of the humerus upper half, clavicle, and scapula, and dissembles into five parts for effective demonstration. The model€s m. subscapularis, m. supraspinatus, m. infraspinatus, and m. teres minor muscles are removable to allow simulation of the following motions: abduction, adduction, inner and outer rotation, raising the arms to the front and back, raising the arms above the horizontal plane, and making circular motions. The A880 has red muscle origins and blue insertions for accurate identification. The model is mounted on a stand for display. Anatomical models are typically used as educational aids in medical and scientific classrooms and office settings.

The A880 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. It resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The model measures 7.1 x 7.1 x 9.4 inches/18.0 x 18.0 x 24.0cm (L x W x H). (L is the horizontal distance from left to right; W is the horizontal distance from front to back; H is the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point.)
