This collection follows on from the very successful Billy Eckstine & Sarah Vaughan - Passing Strangers (also available on REX 2 CD: REXX 314). This explains the absence of their biggest duet together as this collection is meant to compliment not duplicate the previous release. Sarah Vaughan was up there with the female jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, Billy Eckstine's smooth baritone voice was to influence the looming soul and R&B artist to come.
