1957 Ford Ranchero All-American Trucks
When the Ranchero was introduced in 1957 as part of the Ford truck line, advertising encouraged consumers to "look...look again!" The first car with a truck bed, the Ranchero was patterned after the full-size Ford Fairlane and resembled the Ranch Wagon. Buyers could choose from every engine option including the Thunderbird Special 352 V-8s as well as luxurious interior trims. By 1970, the luxury pickup was being described as "the second car that can do things the first car can't."
