Big Walter Horton was recognised as one of the blues' most creative harmonica players. Supremely gifted, he was dedicated to the music rather than his career. He could reach emotional extremes with little apparent effort and then somehow dig even deeper into the expressiveness of his instrument. Here, as leader and in bands led by other artists, is some of his best work. Here also is 'Deep Blues' - his famous collaboration with fellow harpist Carey Bell - on CD for the first time.
