This particular sign is the .060" Indoor / Outdoor Heavy Duty Plastic with UV Protection. Do not confuse this with the paper-thin plastic signs many of our competitors sell just so they can have the lowest price. For comparison, look at the shipping weight of their signs and our signs, many are less than 1/3 the weight. Ours are much thicker and will last for many years. Only if you are planning on mounting the sign to a pole, you should get the Aluminum, but if the sign is going to be mounted to a flat surface these are more than adequate.
