At Yellow Mountain Imports, we offer the highest quality materials and attention to detail. This is one of the finest go sets available on the market today.

  • Shin Kaya Wood: This 0.8 inch thick table board (goban) is made from one solid piece of shin kaya wood. It is truly a symbol of quality and tradition that perfectly embodies the beauty of the game. Our shin kaya go boards are made of spruce wood from Yunnan Province in southern China. This type of wood is also known as ''Dragon Spruce'', ''Tibetan Spruce'' and ''Picea Asperata'' in Latin . The lines are individually hand drawn.
  • Japanese Standard Size: Each grid is 21.5 x 23 millimeters, and the board's dimensions are 13 x 12.5 x 0.8 inches (32.4 x 31.8 x 2 centimeters). This is a 9 x 9 / 13 x 13 reversible board for quick games and teaching. In a standard 19 x 19 board, the possible combinations of go positions are infinite, and a game can last for hours. The smaller playing fields of this board keep your skills sharp by allowing you to play shorter games when you don't have time for a full length one. Even if you already have a standard 19 x 19 goban, you will appreciate the informality and convenience of these smaller playing fields.
  • Instructions Included: A clear and concise booklet, "The Way to Go" by Karl Baker, is included with the purchase of this board. This booklet explains the fundamental rules and strategies of the classic game of go.
  • 30 Return Policy: Here, at Yellow Mountain Imports, we stand behind our product. And with this level of quality, we are confident that you will not want to return it. If for any reason, however, you would like to return it, you can take advantage of our 30 day return policy.

Buy with confidence.
