Concentrated powdered hot water dyes that produce the most vibrant possible results on protein fibers including silk, wool, cashmere, alpaca, feathers and nylon. The only acid involved is the vinegar you add. Each 1/2 ounce bottle will color up to two pounds of fiber depending on the depth of shade desired. In addition to garment dyeing you can also paint or print with these dyes. Extremely brilliant and colorfast they produce a uniform dye job and the colors are beautiful, pure, transparent and luscious.

  • Vibrant Color Payoff - This Jacquard dye creates intense and beautiful colors including a wide array of fluorescent colors. Experiment with different shades by using less dye and more water to create pastels, and more dye and less water for deeper, bolder colors
  • Best on Protein Fibers - Use as a nylon dye, wool or alpaca yarn dye, or to dye silk, feathers and animal fur. This dye can also be used on anything Nylon, so it can be used to color nylon wigs, tights, leggings and swimsuits, perfect for cosplay
  • Self-Leveling - Creates level, uniform colors when submerged in the dye bath. Try immersion dyeing, tub dyeing, direct application, garment dyeing, yarn dyeing, and itajime or shibori. Create a concentrated solution for silk painting or add thickener for screen printing. Steam setting is needed for these methods
  • Permanently Bonds to Fabric - Once the acid is added to the dye solution, the dye "magnetizes" to the material and bonds with the fibers. This also means the dye is pulled out of the water, leaving you with clean water to dispose of after the dyeing process, making clean up a breeze
  • Easy to Use - Heat the water to 180 degrees F (80 degrees C) then add the dye. Add wet fabric to the dye mixture, then add chosen acid (vinegar or citric acid). Acid Dyes are stable in solution, allowing you to save the dye bath or stock solution for future use
