On February 12, 1994, a team of art thieves broke into the Norwegian National Gallery and stole Edvard Munch's The Scream. The brazen thieves left behind a note that said: "Thousand thanks for the bad security!" This theft could have been prevented had the painting actually been able to scream the moment the thieves grabbed it.
