Housing is AIR-TITE rated to prevent airflow between heated or air conditioned spaces and unconditioned attic/plenum areas. for use with 12-Volt MR16 lamps. Non-IC Housing is AIR-TITE but insulation must be kept 3-Inch away from all sides of housing.
