This video balun provides an economical alternative to coaxial cable for video installations. It provides the necessary 75 Ohm impedance to a video device while providing 100 Ohm impedance to the cabling infrastructure. This balancing of impedances allows the video signal to travel with little to no degradation of signal up to 1500 feet over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Save installation time by sharing existing UTP network cable for video applications. The RJ45 female connector provides a quick method of connecting the balun to an existing UTP wall plate with RJ45 termination.
- Run video up to 1,500 feet over UTP network cable with little visible degradation
- Extend video up to 1500 feet over standard network patch cables
- Converts between 75Ω and 100Ω cabling
- Supports CCTV video signals
- One input, such as a Security Camera, can connect to a "transmitting" video balun which connects to a "receiving" video balun, which distributes the signal to an output such as a Video Switch, VCR/DVR, or Monitor.
