These Spindle Clamps are designed to be used around a set of very small spindles, sandwiching around two of the spindles. These solid wood clamps are oversized, measuring 8" wide. They work on spindles from 1" to 1 1/4" thick that are spaced no further apart than 6 1/2", including both spindles. Are your posts larger than this? No problem. You can purchase longer, 1/4"-20 hex head bolts at any hardware store to use with these clamps. Crafted from solid poplar, Cardinal Gates Spindle Clamps are unfinished wood so you may paint or stain to suit your décor. Typically, two clamps will be needed per side of gate.
