Spun bamboo is made from bamboo poles that are cut into long strips, and only the inner heart bamboo (between the outer skin and harder core) is used to craft these large vases. Heart bamboo is lightweight, so don't expect this vase to be heavy. If you have pets use sand or small pebbles in zip lock bag to weight vase.
