Thanks to Tupperware's ingenious ACE (Atmosphere Controlled Environment) system, the three containers in this set keep produce fresher in the refrigerator. Because fruits and vegetables "breathe" and require varying amounts of air each container has two vents. The containers' bottoms also have raised grids to elevate produce above its own moisture and prevent spoilage. The vents open and shut with the touch of a finger.
