This 12th volume in Hyperion's complete Schubert Song edition features English tenor Adrian Thompson, with a little help from Nancy Argenta, John Mark Ainsley, and Richard Jackson. The program consists largely of songs to texts by Schiller, Fouqué, Matthison, and Goethe, including a radiant setting of this last named poet's Sensucht (Longing).
