Innocence Shattered is a moving story of a little girl from Estonia. A captivating story of survival through the eyes of a little girl who becomes a lady. Captured with vivid realism one begins to feel a part of the story. What you are about to read will take you to Estonia, a small country on the shores of the Baltic Sea, where I was born, I spent the first seventeen years of my life there and lived through the era of Stalin and Hitler. There are thousands of stories similar to mine that reveal the horrors that swept across Europe before and during World War II, the unwritten, forgotten stories of human suffering and survival. To those unsung stories fading into the past, I dedicate my humble story.
