If you're old enough to remember Erma Bombeck's irreverent look at life, you'll love this book. It's funny, entertaining and shows you step-by-step how to clean a house. Even if you don't want to clean your house you'll enjoy a good laugh.

Jan Dougherty, lovingly referred to as, 'the Head Rag Dragger', has written a book that gives you, "THE PATH" to clean your house. As she says, "Follow me my child and I'll show you The PATH"!

She gives you a shopping list of what you need, where to buy it, and how to use it. The Path is described in detail for doing both maintenance cleaning (quick, down and dirty), as well as the Big Job (Spring Clean anyone?). There is even an extra copy of the shopping list in the back of the book so you can tear it out and take it shopping with you.

The Nitty Gritty section is a detailed description of cleaning specifics in your house like the microwave, the range, ceiling fans, and venetian blinds, but you only have to read about them if you have them. There are plenty of pictures showing how to take some of these appliances apart so they can be cleaned properly. And hopefully you get them back together.

Based on her experience you can keep your house and everything in it clean for about $16.00 per year. So throw out all that stuff out that is under your kitchen sink, none of it works anyway, and throw out your bucket too.

Jan owns a residential cleaning company and The PATH is what she teaches her employees. She also explains how to start your own cleaning business after you get your own house cleaned.

Read it for fun and a good laugh. Read it to learn how to clean. Buy copies for your kids so you don't have to clean their house when you visit. This book is the perfect gift for newlyweds, recent graduates (even old graduates), and the kid that just went out on his/her own. Hey! It would also look good on your coffee table.

ENJOY THE CLEAN! ENJOY THE SPARKLE!
