In Romans 9:16 and 18 Paul states, "So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.... So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills." Regretfully, many today promote a theology that argues the exact opposite. Salvation is made to depend on the human will, rather than on God's mercy. God reigns supreme over all things and he will accomplish his purpose in saving his people without fail.
